Emotional Regulation Resource Pack
This pack supports kids to name and recognise a variety of challenging emotions using the emotions wheel.
➡️ Step 1: Use the Emotions wheel to teach your child to identify their emotions and find that emotion on the wheel.
➡️ Step 2: Teach your kids to identify which tool or strategy can help them to regulate their body. Pick two strategies they can try and remember to use these strategies together demonstrating that calming your body is best done together through co-regulation.
Remember that the more children practice regulating through active co-regulation with a trusted parent or caregiver, the easier it will become for them to cope with and adapt to challenging feelings.
